25th-29th January
Amsterdam

BOOK TRIP - £179.00

The festival for the entrepreneurial and the technical

Amstertech is uniquely the only international festival for those interested in tech & startups. Spending 3 full days surrounded by like-minded people, in one of Europes most exciting startup hubs.

Visit Amsterdam's most exciting companies

You have the opportunity to visit awesome companies that are hiring in Amsterdam. These engaging office visits let you soak up a company's culture, take part in quizes, learn about living in Amsterda, meet staff, and take part in competitions.

Uber and Bynder are already confirmed, with more companies being announced soon.

Company visits are limited, and will be bookable - for free - in November on a first come, first serve basis.

See Amsterdam from the canals

Any Dutch person will tell you that The Netherlands is magical when seen from the canal. Which is why the evening you arrive you'll be joining other Amstertech attendees on our luxury canal boat.

It is the perfect place to catch up with your friends about your first day's antics, and an opportunity to forge new friendships from other universities.

Three full days, with you in control

We arrive at 8am on Sunday 26th January, and leave 10pm on Tuesday 28th January. Giving you three full days in Amsterdam.

While we organise on immersive company visits, awesome canal boat cruises, and messy bar crawls, it is your trip. You can spend every moment however you wish. We would encourage you to visit some of Amsterdam's incredible museums and galleries.

Travelling alone? We've got you covered.

Coming on a festival can be daunting when you're not sure if your friends will book. That's why we organise a mixer before departure where you can meet other solo-travellers. We also seat you on the coach and place you in rooms with other travellers that have the confidence to travel alone.

Yes, there is a bar crawl too

It really wouldn't be a student festival without a bar crawl, and you wouldn't get to really immersive yourself in Amsterdam's nightlife without one. Our expert reps will take guide you around five of the city's greatest bars and clubs, all alongside the city's beautiful canals.

More than just coffee

Amsterdam is home to cafes and coffeeshops. One of those is not like the other. Whether you just want to admire liberal attitudes or join a once in a lifetime experience, Amstertech is the right place to be. We will even tell you the best place to buy brownies.

Itinerary

Saturday
25th
January

Pack your bags, grab a pillow, and chill out in Central London. Once you've had an action packed day, come and meet our executive coach in the city. We will depart in the evening and travel overnight via the Dover Crossing.

Sunday
26th
January

We pull up at 8am, in time for the city to come to life. You will have a moment to drop your bags at our city centre hostel, and then the city is yours to explore. We suggest checking out the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum (both a 5 minute walk from the hostel). In the evening, you will enjoy a night time canal trip on our luxury boat, before settling into a night's rest at your hostel

Monday
27th
January

Wake up refreshed and head to your free hostel breakfast. You're in control of your day. You can come along to some of the company visits that you have pre-registered for (and maybe even leave with a job). Alternatively, go ahead and explore some of Europe's most exciting museums and galleries. In the evening we run the epic Amstertech bar crawl, leaving directly from your hostel!

Tuesday
28th
January

It's the morning after our bar crawl, so grab a free hostel breakfast to bring yourself back to life. You can then join one of the awesome company visits, or get in a spot of shopping. You won't lose out on a moment of useful time, as we leave at 10pm, travelling overnight again to get you back to London for 8am (just in time for class).

Accommodation

The Hans Brinker

Our favourite hostel became famous in the 90s when it decided to advertise itself as The World's Worst Hotel. Fortunately it has got better, with clean rooms, en-suite bathrooms, max room sizes of 8 guests, and a trendy crowd of student visitors and backpackers.

The Basement

Beneath our favourite hostel is our favourite bar and nightclub. You won't be able to hear a peep in your room, but if you feel like a late night drink you can walk down some mysterious staircases to the late-night super-awesome nightclub, exclusively for Hansbrinker residents.

Frequently asked questions

And we would like to speak to you!

We're best reached on email at hello@awesometrip.com. However, you can also reach us by calling +44 (0)282 003 2078.

Excellent, we're going to do everything we can to facilitate that.

It is really important that we know as early as possible, ideally before booking. Please note that if we need to arrange alternate arrangements there may be additional costs associated, but we will let you know if that is the case.

Absolutely. It's important you let us know as early as possible (ideally 28 days), however we will attempt to facilitate name changes after this time (it all depends on whether our suppliers will let us change your name at a late date).

We charge a £10 name change fee, which reflect our costs in changing your name with our suppliers.

It always costs less to find someone to take your place (please see other answer), however if that's not possible we have the following cancellation policy.

We have a cancellation fee that is charged based on how many days before travel you decide to cancel:

  1. Less than 28 days before departure: the entire paid balance will be charged (100%).
  2. 28 days to 56 days before departure: the deposit, plus 50% of any paid balance will be charged (a refund of the remainder will be given).
  3. 56 days before departure: only the deposit will be charged, and a refund on the remaining balance will be given.

You will need to pay the remainder of the trip balance by Dec 28, 2019.

Yes. If you would like to join this trip we recommend placing a deposit as soon as possible.

As a small company, we take a double layered approach to ensure our clients are protected, giving us the strongest protection available within the travel industry. You are welcome to contact either of the companies below to verify our customer protection mechanisms.

In the first instance, all client funds are paid into a trust account held by Serenity Travel Trusts; this is an account that is legally separate from our business - run and regulated by solicitors - that holds client funds so that they can be reimbursed to our customers in the event that our business goes insolvent.

On top of this protection, we have a form of insurance called Financial Failure Insurance with Affirma Insurance. This acts a top up in the event that extra money is needed to reimburse customers or to repatriate customers in the event of our financial failure (insolvency).

Lastly, you are of course protected by your payment card issuer, and could obtain a full refund through them if any other form of reimbursement failed.

We want everyone to feel safe when booking on an experience provided by AwesomeTrip, so please contact us if you have any questions!

You should go ahead and book on the trip. If an exam conflicts with the trip dates or if an exam is after the trip dates, you can contact us and we will issue a full refund.

No problem, if your exam will conflict with the trip, or if the exam is after the trip, just let us know and we will issue you with a full refund.
