Schedule 2 of the Package Travel Regulations 2018
The combination of travel services offered to you is a package within the meaning of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations.
Therefore, you will benefit from all EU rights applying to packages. Awesome Trip Ltd will be fully responsible for the proper performance of the package as a whole.
Additionally, as required by law, company XY/companies XY has/have protection in place to refund your payments and, where transport is included in the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event that it becomes/they become insolvent.

Your Contract
You (hereafter referred to as the 'you' or 'the guest') are forming this contract with Awesome Trip Ltd (hereafter referred to as AwesomeTrip), of registered address 21 Shoreditch House, Charles Square, London, N1 6HL. Awesome Trip Ltd trades as Amstertech.
Your contract is formed once you finalise your booking with AwesomeTrip. Your booking is finalised once you make a payment, or an in kind payment in the form of registering using a free place code.
Your contract is govered by English Law and you agree to use the English judicial system in the event of a disagreement with AwesomeTrip.
You must be at least 18 years of age or older to make a booking with AwesomeTrip, to agree to this contract, or to attend an event hosted by AwesomeTrip.
By booking with AwesomeTrip, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Medical information
You must inform AwesomeTrip of any relevant medical information before booking. Relevant medical information is anything that may require special provisions to accommodate your trip, or it may include anything that may be necessary for AwesomeTrip may need to know in order to safely provide a trip to yourself and others.
We will attempt to accommodate any medical provision or disability, however we reserve the right to pass on any additional costs incurred in accommodating your provision.
Your personal details
It is your responsibility to ensure the details you provide us match those details as printed on your travel documents. If your details do not match your details on your travel documents, please immediately inform AwesomeTrip.
We will do our best to update your details if they do not match your travel documents, however if we believe you are attempting to move an AwesomeTrip booking to another person, we reserve the right to charge a name change fee.
It may not be possible to correct your booking details fewer than 28 days before your departure date. If you are unable to travel due to incorrect personal details (eg. if you are refused boarding by a travel supplier such as a coach, ferry or airline), we will not be held liable.
Holiday price
The price displayed on our website is the final base trip price. This price includes transport, accommodation, two days of breakfast at the accommodation, and holiday representatives.
If there's an error in the price displayed on the website or our booking materials, we reserve the right to offer you the correct price or to refuse your initial booking (issuing a full refund in the process).
You must pay at least the stated booking deposit to secure your place on the trip.
Full payment for the trip must be received on or before Dec 28, 2019 travel. If you fail to make full payment by this date your trip may be cancelled by AwesomeTrip with no refund given.
The deposit will not be refunded under any circumstance.
Events
In resort events (eg. bar crawl, venture crawl, river cruise, or other events) are provided free of charge, and have no value attached.
In the event we cancel an event, we will endeavor to find a suitable replacement, however that replacement may be of a different nature or quality.
Even though we will attempt to find a replacement, if an event is cancelled without replacement a refund will not be given as the trip price does not include the event.
How we protect your booking
The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 require travel companies to provide security for the monies that consumers pay for certain types and combinations of travel arrangements booked with them and for consumers’ repatriation in the event of their insolvency. We provide this protection by way of a trust account controlled and administered by Serenity Travel Trusts. You agree that all money that you pay to us for travel arrangements requiring financial protection will be paid into a separate and designated trust account and will be held there on trust for you until you have returned from your trip, after which it may be paid to us.
Minimum numbers
Our group trips require a minimum number of 48 guests in order to go ahead.
This requirement does not apply if we provide written confirmation in advance.
If the 48 guest minimum is not reached four weeks before travel, all guests will be given a full refund of their payments.
At our discretion, we may decide to run the trip despite the minimum numbers not being met.
Changing your booking
We will endeavour to allow changes to your holiday.
You will be liable to pay the full cost of any changes to your holiday. This includes any non-refundable portions already booked, and also includes the cost of any new items to be booked.
We charge a fee of £10 to cover our costs incurred when making any changes to a booking.
Name changes
We endeavour to allow name changes as late as reasonably possible. Provided there is enough time to inform our suppliers of the name change, and to facilitate their agreement to the change.

The new passenger agrees to these terms and conditions.
Upon transfer, the old passenger agrees to be no longer bound by AwesomeTrip's terms and conditions.
Cancellation
You may cancel your booking at any time by sending an email to AwesomeTrip.
All cancellations will lose the value of their deposit, in addition to any cancellation charges listed below.
The cancellation fee is based on the date that the cancellation email is received by AwesomeTrip.
Cancellation charges are as follows:
- Less than 28 days before departure: the entire paid balance will be charged (100%).
- 28 days to 56 days before departure: the deposit, plus 50% of any paid balance will be charged.
- 56 days before departure: only the deposit will be charged, and a refund on the remaining balance will be given.
You may be able to recover the cancellation charge from your insurance company.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a trip, we will offer you a refund. In some circumstances we may offer you an alternate option which may be accepted in lieu of a refund.
Changes
We make make minor changes to your arrangements. Where we make minor changes, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible that the change has been made.
Compensation will not be provided to a minor change to arrangements.
Minor changes include (but are not limited to):
- A change of accommodation to another of the same quality.
- Change of departure or arrival timing.
- Changes to a free event provided in the ticket price (eg. boat trip, venture crawl, bar crawl, etc)
- Cancellation of a free event provided in the ticket price.
Where we make major changes to your arrangements, you will have the option of accepting the change or accepting a full refund.
A major change may include an increase in ticket price, which will be made clear. If you agree to the change, you will also agree to pay the difference in ticket price.
Major changes include (but are not limited to):
- A change of destination.
- A change in accommodation to one of lesser quality.
- A change in departure date.
Force Majeure
In no event shall AwesomeTrip be responsible or liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder arising out of or caused by, directly or indirectly, forces beyond its control, including, without limitation, strikes, work stoppages, accidents, acts of war or terrorism, civil or military disturbances, nuclear or natural catastrophes or acts of God, and interruptions, loss or malfunctions of utilities, communications or computer (software and hardware) services.
It being understood that AwesomeTrip shall use reasonable efforts which are consistent with accepted practices in the travel industry to resume performance as soon as practicable under the circumstances.
Compensation
In the event of a cancellation or a major change, we may provide compensation according to our compensation rules below.
You reserve the right to claim for more compensation than you are entitled.
Compensation will not be provided if you are travelling on a free place.
If a discount is applied to your place, your compensation will be pro-rated down from the full trip price.
Compensation is based upon a major change or cancellation, depending on how much notice you are given before the trip's start date.
- More than 21 days £0.
- 15-21 days £4.
- 8-14 days £7.
- Under 8 days £10
Responsibilities
It is a condition of travel with AwesomeTrip that you comply and abide by all local laws.
It is a condition of travel with AwesomeTrip that you take out emergency medical travel insurance that covers the entire duration of your holiday.
AwesomeTrip accepts no liability for losses as a result of being uninsured or under insured.
If you cause danger, upset, damage or distress to another trip member, as supplier, a third party, property, or if you break any laws, we reserve the right to terminate your trip without notice or liability.
Our representatives and our suppliers (eg. travel, accommodation, event providers), reserve the right to terminate your trip if you are found in breach of the prior clause.
In the event that we terminate your trip according to any of the prior clauses, we will not be liable for alternate travel, accommodation, event, or repatriation arrangements.
We will not provide a refund or compensation in the event that your trip is terminated.
You have a responsibility to arrive at the correct departure point on time. If you fail to arrive at the departure point, we will not be liable for your trips cancellation or alternate travel arrangements to the trip's destination.
We do not accept responsibility for luggage. Your hold luggage will be communally placed in the transport vehicle and in an accommodation luggage storage facility, losses can and do occur. You should ensure you do not place valuables in your luggage and take out appropriate travel insurance if you are worried about the theft, damage or loss of your luggage.
Our suppliers are extremely important to us. We do not allow alcohol, drugs or smoking on a travel service or in accommodation, unless this is agreed to by the supplier.
At our discretion or a travel providers, we may terminate your trip at a location along the journey to/from your destination if your conduct is liable to cause danger, upset or distress to yourself or others, or if your conduct is in breach of local laws.
Passport
It is your responsibility to comply with all visa and passport requirements for the destination country and all countries that we pass through along the way.
We do not accept responsibility if you cannot travel due to passport, visa or immigration requirements.
An embassy and/or consulate may need full proof of payment. To obtain a full proof of payment you will need to pay for your trip in full.
We understand passport and visa restrictions may cause you to cancel your trip. We therefore strongly recommend you attempt to arrange a visa as early as possible to provide yourself and ourselves with as much notice as possible. If you need to cancel we will try our hardest to arrange a name transfer so you are not liable to our full cancellation penalties.
Travel (eg. coaches)
You are permitted to take one soft shell suit case, and one piece of hand luggage.
You are responsible for ensuring your bag is loaded and unloaded from the coach.
The company is not responsible for damage, loss or theft of your suitcase. For this reason we strongly recommend you do not keep valuables in luggage that will not be on your person at all times. If you are worried about damage to your luggage, you should take out travel insurance that covers baggage.
If you have special needs, you must inform us before booking. You will be responsible for any additional fees we incur to facilitate your needs.
If you do not inform us of your needs at the time of booking, please inform us a minimum of four weeks before travel so we may take mitigating arrangements.
Failure to provide reasonable notice to arrange mitigating arrangements may result in the cancellation of your trip if we are unable to find safe alternate arrangements.
We operate a maximum loading policy (eg. there will be no spare seats on the coaches). If you require more than one seat you must inform us at least 4 weeks before travel. We reserve the right to charge you for this additional seat space.
Accommodation
You will be placed in accommodation chosen by AwesomeTrip.
Unless otherwise specified, the minimum level of accommodation provided is a hostel (1 star). This accommodation may be a dorm room, shared bathroom, with a maximum size of 8 occupants.
The price at time of paying includes any tourist taxes. However, if any new tourist or accommodation taxes are applied, we may ask you to pay this.
You may need to bring towels and linen. We will inform you if these are not supplied by your accommodation provider.
You may be required to pay a room or key deposit. The hostel reserves the right to retain the deposit at their discretion. If you disagree with the hostel retaining your deposit, you must raise this complaint with the hostel directly.
Accessibility requirements must be made before booking to ensure we can make suitable arrangements.
We may refuse to accommodate a passenger when we feel we are unable to safely accommodate their needs.
We will attempt to facilitate special requests (eg. meal requests). However, we cannot guarantee that your request will be facilitated as it may not be supported by our suppliers. Requests may also be subject to an additional charge (we will only charge this if we incur additional charges or substantial administration costs).
Our Liability
We promise to perform our contract with reasonable skill and care.
Where we do not perform with reasonable skill and care, subject to the following conditions, we will accept responsibility.
If you believe we did not perform our duty with reasonable skill and care, it is your responsibility to prove this.
We only take adults on our trips. Adults are expected to act maturely and rationally. They may drink and - if and where local laws permit - take drugs. When they do so, they are doing this at their responsibility. When we organise events (eg. bar crawls, boat cruises), we do not monitor alcohol or drug intake as adults are responsible for their own intake, we do not ensure you do not walk in front of cars, we do not ensure you do not jump in canals, etc. If you cannot drink or consume drugs without putting yourself in danger, you should not do these things in the first place. On events, we act as guides and not as safety supervisors.
For our employees, we are only responsible for their actions if you prove they did not demonstrate reasonable skill and care while in the course of their employment.
For our agents, contractors, and volunteers, we are only responsible for their actions if they did not demonstrate reasonable skill and care while carrying out the duties that we requested them to perform.
Except in the case of death, injury of illness, compensation for our liability will only reach a maximum of double the trip price paid.
Where we fail to perform our contract, and it affect the enjoyment of your holiday, we will provide compensation.
We are not responsible for the lack of enjoyment where this was caused by your actions or by a third party unconnected with AwesomeTrip, where the actions was unforeseeable or unavoidable.
We are not responsible or liable for the lack of enjoyment where it could not have been avoided where all care had been exercised.
Our liability shall be limited in accordance with or in an identical manner to teh contractual terms of our suppliers. Our suppliers terms and conditions are incorportated into this contract and a copy may be requested at any time.
Our liability shall be limited in accordance with any international convention, and we are seen as having any benefit to liability limitation that is granted by those conventions.
International conventions include (but are not limited to): Montreal Convention (in respect of travel by air), the Athens Convention (in respect of travel by sea), the Berne Convention (in respect of travel by rail), and the Paris Convention (in respect of provision of accommodation).
Upon a written request, we will provide copies of our relevant suppliers contractual terms or copies of any relevant international conventions.
We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage caused or arising from an event that is organised by your university group, a member of your university, or another unconnected third party.
Excursions or other third party tours
We are not liable for excursions unconnected with your package.
Where an excursion is booked as an add on to your package, the liability and responsibility for that excursion lies solely with the provider of the excursion.
Your contract for an excursion or other tour operator is with that operator and not with AwesomeTrip.
Complaints
If you have a complaint that arises due to a supplier, please always inform the supplier in the first instance and attempt to rectify the issue directly with the supplier.
Please also record documentation of the issue leading to a complaint. If your complaint is escalated to AwesomeTrip we may be unable to take action without satisfactory documentation.
If your complaint is not rectified by the supplier, or if you have a complaint with AwesomeTrip, please inform us at the earliest opportunity.
We reserve the right to refuse compensation when you failed to inform AwesomeTrip of a rectifiable complaint.
If you have a complaint during your holiday, you may complain by speaking to an AwesomeTrip representative or by contacting the 24/7 emergency number provided at the start of your holiday.
Upon returning from your holiday, you have 28 days to submit a complain to AwesomeTrip. Please direct all complaints to hello@awesometrip.com or in writing to 21 Shoreditch House, Charles Square, London, N1 6HL.
Complaints

We reserve the right to refuse compensation when you failed to inform AwesomeTrip of a rectifiable complaint.
If you have a complaint during your holiday, you may complain by speaking to an AwesomeTrip representative or by contacting the 24/7 emergency number provided at the start of your holiday.
Upon returning from your holiday, you have 28 days to submit a complain to AwesomeTrip. Please direct all complaints to hello@awesometrip.com or in writing to 21 Shoreditch House, Charles Square, London, N1 6HL.
Photography and Video
We regularly take photos and videos of the trips we provide. We may use these for marketing and advertising.
If you would like to opt-out of these, please inform us at the earliest opportunity and refuse to take part in any group photos that are taking place.
